Lets talk about the large white elephant in the room last night.
Last year, we were told that we will have a model show and we ALL agreed at that one particular meeting that we WILL NOT have members of this group build models and have them judged for trophies at OUR show.
If members of OUR group start winning awards at OUR show, SHITE is going to go sideways!
Last night, “CHANGE OF PLANS” and now members can enter models for judging at our show! Really? What gives?? We all agreed to this last year and yes, we will have a “DISPLAY ONLY” table set-up so we can proudly show our local talents but, we will not enter into the show.
But, now, I really don’t know what the hell is going on.

Please remove the emotion. You obviously care or you would not have posted here.
The only time we openly discussed NOT competing in our own show was when we were considering a 1-2-3 award system. We have enough Nationally recognized master modelers — in all genres — that it would appear we were simply doing a show to give awards to our own members.
The GSB award system is the solution to that issue in that modelers will be recognized for their work. Anyone in the Club can enter their models now. How does that cause anything to go sideways? It’s consistent with other clubs/competitions.
If YOU don’t want your model considered for an award, simply note “display only” on the entry sheet for that model. It still goes with all the other models in that category.
The Club Display is for our “Not a Japanese Zero” group build.
